Weekend Recommendations – November 6th, 2014

The BIG event this weekend is the fifth annual Teslacon in Madison, Wisconsin, with its immersive steampunk theme this year being “Journey to the Center of the Earth.” Many members of the Pandora Society will be there in full force to celebrate the best “immersive” convention that Steampunk has to offer. Since its inception, the International Steampunk Symposium has had a very close relationship with Teslacon.

But what else is happening this weekend?

Starting at 8PM in Lansing, Michigan there is the Steampunk Night of November at Kelly’s Downtown – Get down or sit back with a drink and enjoy the music. Capitol Steam is proud to bring you Mid Michigan’s newest Steampunk DJ. Van Helsteam spins Elecro-Swing, Steampunk, Irish, and anything else that gets you tapping your mug on the bar. Don’t miss this premiere event! No cover charge. A donation jar will be onsite for those able to donate. Proceeds will go towards the next Capitol Steam party/event. As usual steampunk, ren, or pirate attire is suggested but not mandatory.

So there’s where we’ll be, or wish we could be if we weren’t already where we were . . . or something like that. Either way, have a great weekend 🙂
