Symposium Session – Gothic and Gaslamp Fantasy in Steampunk

Gothic and Gaslamp Fantasy in Steampunk

Presented by Leanna Renee Hieber.

Penny Dreadful? Crimson Peak? There are delicious dark and stormy nights haunting Steampunk in Gothic and Gaslamp Fantasy clothes. Let’s talk about the 18th century literary tropes we keep reinventing.

Award-winning, noted Gothic and Gaslamp Fantasy author Leanna Renee Hieber ‎takes you on a historic and current tour of the darker, paranormal, fantastical side of Steampunk. ‎After writing three series in this genre for multiple New York publishing houses, not only is Leanna an expert on the subject, but she’s the genre’s most passionate advocate and leads a spirited (every pun intended) discussion.
