Yellow Cabaret X – Event Summary

Guests enjoyed fire dancing from DaShane Starfox and Skye Amos Wolf, had the strength of this stomachs tested by Tinderbox Circus Sideshow, and music from Curse of Cassandra, Arlow Xan, The Skeletones, and DJ V-Ral. Kelsey Jean performed with hoops, both on the ground and in the air, and Troupe Hexa mesmerized all with their wickedly brilliant burlesque performances.

The night saw several new pieces by Yellow Cab favorites. Troupe Roja premiered a new set in a very literal sense. For the majority of the evening, the stage hosted a jagged black skyline highlighted in sickly green twilight while the front of the stage hosted shattered walls, and a great vault door guarded the green room. Their reputation for amazing costumes and story-telling held true as they performed a dazzling new spectacle featuring post apocalyptic alien vampires. Miss Stixen Stones performed two all new draglesque pieces, including a sexy salute to Rocky Horror.

One of the night’s candid highlights was Sir Earnest’s night-long strip tease. The more alcohol he consumed, the more articles of clothing he lost. Eventually, the infamous hat itself vanished from his head – perhaps the greatest reveal of all.

M. Leigh Hood is a rare beast of the Cincinnati wilderness typically preoccupied with writing, nerding, and filming The Spittoon List. For more articles and stories by M. Leigh Hood, look HERE.
