MLK African Fest

12:00PM to 5:00PM – Cincinnati Museum Center, 1301 Western Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45203

Let’s attend the African Cultural Festival at Union Terminal together! This should be a good time to wear our multicultural steampunk outfits. We’ll gather in the left side of the entry way from noon-12:15 and then will go to the Reakirt Auditorium to see a performance by the Asili Performing Arts Theatre.

There will be on-going things to check out including an African village, marketplace, and crafts and also performances at certain locations as listed on the website.

This is a free event, but bring money to spend on the African merchandise that will be for sale and for food. Parking is $6/car so check the carpool thread so that the cost is spread around. This is a family friendly event.

So there’s where we’ll be, or wish we could be if we weren’t already where we were . . . or something like that. Either way, have a great weekend 🙂

As our humble website continues to grow and reach many people beyond Cincinnati and Ohio, we’d like to include more events in our Weekend Recommendations series. If you have a Steampunk, geeky, or “alternative” event that you would like us to consider for our recommendations, it’s simple, just make sure to send me, Aloysius Fox, an invitation on FacebookOR fill out the form below . . .
