Doors officially opened at 8PM, but a few began arriving before that to peruse the fine array of vendors who were set up in the Lounge, including Billy Tackett who designed and created our fabulous poster. The Lounge stage was the domain of PoleKittens who filled the room with lights, music, and about a dozen sexy pole dancers from their studio. Many relaxed in the Sanctuary main stage area while LOVECRUSH88 and Vice Tricks finished up their sound checks, and then at 9PM it was time to officially kick off the 2015 Voodoo Carnival.

LOVECRUSH88 began the show, rocking out the main stage with their high energy songs that sound like the result of “Led Zeppelin and Debbie Harry getting into a knife fight.”

Upstairs in the Revival Room, DJ V-RAL supplied the music while the House of Aphrodesia gave various fetish demos, educational talks, and burlesque performances.

Plague Doctor VC15Fully painted by Anything Airbrished, the second act to take the main stage was SpaceFairy and her snake Capone who danced and glowed under black light to bring to life the Voodoo Queen of our poster.

The Pickled Brothers Circus gave a “blockbusting” performance with sideshow acts and Susan breaking a cinderblock over Travis’s crotch! Ouch!

From Indianapolis came Creme de les Femmes burlesque with performances from Barbacoa Jones, Roxy L’Rouge, and Hard Mona.

During the main stage’s intermission Speed Dating “on speed” was held in the Sanctuary, and a few people actually found matches!

On the main stage, it was Vice Tricks who closed out the night with a performance that nearly brought the house down! For anyone who left early, then you missed the best that we saved until last . . . Vice Tricks fill the stage with their relentless high octane energy, and literally filled the hall! For their final song, the band left the stage one by one, while still playing, and made their to the bar at the other end of the room where each member (even the drummer!) climbed up on the bar and rocked the place out!

DJ Nymphoma took over and the serious partiers danced and danced until it is was time to leave the building . . .

So we had a great time at the 2015 Voodoo Carnival, but we would like to know what you thought of the night . . . please take a moment to fill out our anonymous survey and help is make the 2016 even better!
