Monday, October 19th, 2015

On October 19th, 1900 we discovered the Law of Black-Body Radiation, Phoebe Darqueling introduced us to the post-apocalyptic Cyberpunk short film Heart Pumping Oil, and we invited you to display your talents at the first ever talent show at the Cincinnati Steampunk Salon.


Tuesday, October 20th, 2015

October 20th, 1910 was the launch of the Titanic‘s sister ship the RMS OlympicM. Leigh Hood explored the new geek trend of Hearing Aid Fashion, and we added Dark Rain Design to the list of International Steampunk Symposium vendors.


Wednesday October 21st, 2015

October 21st, 1931 saw an abortive coup d’état attempt by the Japanese secret society the Sakurakai, Chris Pavesic looked at the Importance of DeLoreans and Time Travel to celebrated Back to the Future II Day, and in music videos we discovered why Freddie Mercury is Queen of the Metropolis.


Thursday, October 22nd, 2015

On October 22nd, 1910 Dr. Crippen was was convicted at the Old Bailey, in London, of poisoning his wife, Lucretia Strange examined the Tragedy of a Time Lord, and we explored how the 2015 of Back to the Future is retro-futuristic now that October 21st, 2015 is in the past.

October 23rd in both 1850 and 1915 saw historical moments in the US Women’s Suffrage movement, Ofeibea Loveless gave us a primer for Afrofuturism, and Phoebe Darqueling present the latest crowd funded Steampunk projects.


Saturday, October 24th, 2015

On October 24th, 1851 British astronomer William Lassell discovered the moons Umbriel, and Ariel, orbiting Uranus, Miss Vivienne Merriweather brought us the Chicago Steampunk Salon October Report, and Katie Lynn Daniels introduced to the brighter world of Solarpunk.


Sunday, October 25th, 2015

October 25th, 1944 saw Heinrich Himmler ordered a crackdown on the Edelweiss Pirates, a loosely organized youth culture in Nazi Germany that had assisted army deserters and others to hide from the Third Reich, we got the latest installment of  Wheelworks by KT Sebastian Part one: Ice Domes of the Bandit Queen Episode 3 – A Plan Coverand then it was time for the Sunday Summary 🙂
