HMS_Warrior_1872Outcasts 2Monday, December 29th, Britain launched its first ironclad ship, HMS Warrior, we looked at the forgotten BBC sci-fi show Outcasts, and added The Spectra Nova to the list of International Steampunk Symposium vendors.

Tuesday, December 30th, the Zulus were defeated by the British Empire, Battlestar Gallatica‘s Richard Hatch ventures into Steampunk, and we interviewed Symposium guest of honour Diana Pho (aka Ay-leen the Peacemaker).

Wednesday, December 31st, we started with Episode 39 of The Uncommon Geek podcast, we had a New Year’s Eve dinner in a dinosaur, Dr. Pembroke gave us a demo in Part III of his trepanning series, and we added Cosgrave Studios to the list of Symposium vendors.

Thursday, January 1st, Queen Victoria became Empress of India, we looked at the most Steampunk episodes of Doctor Who, and we gave a couple of Weekend Recommendations.

Friday, January 2nd, the French discovered the planet Vulcan, we interviewed the creators of the graphic novel Suffrajitsu, and added The Armored Lady to the International Steampunk Symposium’s vendor hall.

Saturday, January 3rd, the Lick Observatory opened in 1888, we entered the nightmare special effects of Randy R. Fabert, and Herbal Turtle Teas joined the Symposium list of vendors.

Sunday, January 4th, the Fabian Society was formed, the Seamstress of Steam was added to the list of Symposium vendors, and then came the Sunday Summary 🙂

 

 

This coming week we shall meet more of the International Steampunk Symposium vendors, see more upcoming Symposium Sessions, and more!
