On August 24th, 1932 aviatrix Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly across the United States non-stop, Lucretia Strange explored the ruins of Pompeii, and we looked back at Dan Dare the pilot of the future!

Tuesday, August 25th, 2015

It was on August 25th, 1835 that Bat People were discovered on the moon, M. Leigh Hood gave us a preview of the new Russian super hero series Zashchitniki (aka Guardians), and we danced with British band Five Star on a crashing spaceship.

Wednesday August 26th, 2015

Mount Krakatoa erupted on August 26th, 1883 and shook the world, Dr. Pembroke cut up some bodies at Anatomy Night School, and we discovered that most of the Rebel pilots in Star Wars (1977) were actually British!

August 27th, 1896 saw the shortest war in history, Chris Pavesic gave us a tour of New Zealand and why it’s the Steampunk Capital of the World, and we met Francesco Lana de Terzithe inventor of the airship back in 1670.
