Today we present to you the second of our entries for the Goggles, Guns, & Gadgets contest, the Geodetic Spatial Relativitator via Molecular Dematerialization Apparatus created by Oswin Bernerd McGuinness.

Geodetic Spatial Relativitator via Molecular Dematerialization Apparatus 1

The Geodetic Spatial Relativitator via Molecular Dematerialization Apparatus (GSRMD for short) was developed in a secret lab with friend Nik Tesla during the war with Edison. It was developed to allow instantaneous matter teleportation to any location on Earth. On the night of the initial test, I got ambitious and went right for a human trial for the three meter jump in the lab. The small town’s power supply from below was tapped, amplified by two Tesla coils in the lab and fed directly into the device. Though reluctant of the first test being on myself, Nik was supportive. On the activation of the device, there was quiet a localized atmospheric phenomena and I vanishing in to thin air. Not appearing in the set coordinates three meters away but in London . . . and almost in a wall, there was some tweaking still to be done.

After making my first two gun rigs, a combo mav mod and from scratch builds, I decided I was going to make this. It is all built from scratch. The base is leather with thin brass. The coordinate dials are bike lock tumblers which I stripped down and then made a a bracket for. The Coordinate engagement switches are x,y,z typewriter keys on back lit push button switches. The center core is a blue plasma disk with copper pipe around it and that is running off of non stock plasma ball hardware, along with the two mini plasma balls mounted on brass porthole pendants with a custom made copper guard cage. The double throw knife switch was made from scratch and the green glowing crystal is in a custom mount of pewter candle stick holders and copper pipe. The glow is variable and controlled but a custom made printer circuit board. It is powered from the scratch made power pack that powered the rest of my gear and the leads have braided EL wire that lead to the brass nuts on the pack of the device.
