The Victorian era mobile phone was invented by Professor Bullock and myself in 1876, prior to Alexander Graham Bell acquiring the first US patent for the telephone, also in 1876. It has backpack straps for mobility, the antenna for reception, it’s a mobile phone. There’s no roaming charges. and International calls are free.

The telephone was purchased at a yard sale. The canvas backpack straps were purchased at a Goodwill store and the antenna came off of my daughter’s television set. I feel that my gadget is truly what Steampunk is all about; taking something, reworking it and giving it a unique storyline while making it believable.

If you wish to enter your best goggles, gun, or gadget, the deadline for entry is July 19th and voting begins on July 25th. There are eight ways to win . . . click on this banner to learn more.
