Dalek Invasion!

Well hello my fellow Whovians!

Last week we took a look at the first Doctor Who feature film, “Doctor Who & the Daleks“….this week we’re back in the Tardis for round two! The Doctor (played again by Peter Cushing” returns to Earth but misses his date  by just a few years. He and the companions find themselves in 2150 and London is a big old mess….the Earth has been subjegated and ravaged by…you guessed it, the Daleks! London is in ruins and only pockets of resistance fighters are left to fight on against the new menance. It’s the second Doctor Who flick and it’s called “The Dalek Invasion of Earth 2150“!  This 1966 production ran into so many financial stumbling blocks they had nearly half the production money fronted by a Bristish breakfast cereal company in exchange for product placement in the film (which is why you’ll see posters for “Sugar Puffs” all over the ruins of future London)….product placement in Doctor Who? Can no hero go untainted?

Let’s take a look at “The Dalek Invasion of Earth 2150“!

Are you digging the space weirdness? If you’re a fan of these shorts, why not follow the Meet Cleaver Theatre page on Facebook? You’ll find these episodes a ton more reviews from the past…everything from sci-fi to horror to exploitation! More crazy trailers, more stupifying commercials, even some music videos…

If you’re just digging the sci-fi and haven’t followed Pandoracon’s facebook page yet, you can find that here.
