2015.10 Salon

This month’s Cincinnati Steampunk Salon was indeed a special event as we were joined by the marvelous gentleman of chap-hop himself . . . Sir Reginald Pikedevant Esquire!

This month the Salon was on the second floor of Molly Malone’s, a more intimate space with even more Victorian style decor which played the perfect backdrop to Sir Reginald’s performance that was the highlight of the evening.

Approximately 60 ladies and gentlemen came out for the October Salon and a good time was had by all with food, drinks, conversation, games of pool, larks, and a game of Cthulhu Dice that drew the attention of many. There were several new faces to join the regulars and some had traveled across several state lines to join the steam-powered festivities.

Around 10:45PM, we took our traditional group picture, but given the confines of the second floor it was more of a challenge to get everyone in the picture; ladies and chaps had to squeeze together a little bit more than usual 😉 The birthday celebrations only including a few people as we suspect the others were being shy about their age. And then it was time for Sir Reginald Pikedevant Esquire to take the stage!

When Sir Reginald had finished his set, DJ Cynister took over the stage and played out the final hour with a mixture of electro-swing, new wave, goth, and more as people cleared tables to make a dance floor.
